An easy way to water a large garden

Finding an easy to water a large garden method is sometimes difficult because you have to custom the irrigation system to each garden. When you live in an area where it does not rain so much throughout the entire year you have to find a way to water your crops. Before you decide to create a large vegetable garden think if the cost of the water is worth it because it you spend on water garden bill more than you are getting from your veggies it is not worth it.

Flood irrigation
• The first thing that you should do when you are creating an irrigation system is creating the rows between the vegetables so that the water garden can get it the right places. Dig the rows about 4 inches deep and set them about 24 inches apart.
• Take a hose and fill each row with water. Wait until the row is full of water and move on to the next. The first time will take longer because the soil in the row needs to settle. Continue watering the plant this way until all the rows are saturated with water.
• Let your plants germinate and grow. Once they have reached 3 inches tall add some organize mulch because it will help keep the moist into the soil.

Sprinkler Irrigation
• Before you turn on your sprinkler place it at the bottom of your garden while the hose lead to the top of your garden.
• Set your sprinkler to go all the way to the left and to the right.
• Turn the sprinklers on while the water is turn on at maximum pressure. Let the sprinkler do its job until the soil is soaked 4 inches into the ground.
• Once you are done with the bottom of the garden it is time to move to the center of the garden. Turn the sprinkler on at the center of the garden and follow the same steps you did at the bottom. Once you are done with this part pull the hose to the top of the garden and do the same thing.
• If you want to water more sections of your garden at the same time buy more hoses and distribute them in different areas of you garden. There are systems that allow you to use more hoses from the same water source.
